About CashYield

Updated Oct 16, 2026 · By Jeison Cobb

Our mission

Most rate tables show the headline yield. What you actually keep depends on taxes, and where you live changes the answer. CashYield ranks savings accounts, CDs, money market funds, T-bills and T-bill ETFs by after-tax yield for every US state, so you can see where your cash really earns the most.

Who we are

CashYield was founded by Jeison Cobb in October 2026. It's an independent, data-first project: we read rates from each provider's own public page or official government data, do the tax math, and show our work.

Independence

Rankings are sorted purely by after-tax yield. Sponsors can buy clearly labeled ad space, but they can never buy a ranking position, change our data, or review our content before it's published. See our disclosure and methodology.

Why you can trust CashYield

Every rate comes from the provider's own page or official Treasury data, with a source link and date. If we can't read a value, we show "—" or "missing" and never guess. Rankings are sorted only by after-tax yield; sponsors can't buy a rank, and paid placements are always labeled. Badges show how your money is protected: bank deposits are FDIC-insured up to the limits; T-bills are backed by the US government; money market funds and ETFs are investments and are not FDIC insured.
